SYNOPSIS<\/strong><\/h5>

The film by Theo Angelopoulos, regarded as the pinnacle of New Greek Cinema, follows a theater troupe traveling across Greece from 1939 to 1952. While they stage the pastoral folk tale \"Golfo,\" the actors live the drama of the Aeschylus' Oresteia Trilogy in their own lives. Theo Angelopoulos <\/b>(1935-2012)<\/span><\/h5>

He was born in Athens and he studied law. He went to Paris to study in Sorbonne but after a short time, he started studying at IDHEC Film School. He worked as a journalist and a movie critic between the years 1964-1967. He shot his first short film \u201cThe Broadcast\u201d in 1968. Starting from the 1970\u2019s, he gained international success with his films such as \u201cDays of \u201936\u201d (1972), \u201cAlexander the Great\u201d (1980), \u201cThe Suspended Step of the Stork\u201d (1991), \u201cUlysses' Gaze\u201d (1995) and \u201cEternity and a Day\u201d (1998) and he was one of the most significant auteurs in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
