This biographical drama, selected as the Best Film in Thessaloniki, tells the life-story of the folk painter Theophilos Chatzimichail, who was discovered after his death. In his works where he processed traditional Greek motifs, Theofilos told stories from mythology and everyday life. Lakis Papastathis<\/b> (1946)<\/span><\/h5>

He was born in the city of Volos, in Greece and studied Film Directing in Athens. In the years 1968-1971 he worked as an assistant director in several films. In 1971, he founded the production company Cinetic with Takis Haztopoulos and worked with the Greek National Television on co-productions. He is known for his award-receiving films such as \u201cWhen the Greeks\u201d (1981), \u201cTheophilos\u201d (1987), \u201cThe Only Journey of His Life\u201d (2001) and has also worked as a writer.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
