SYNOPSIS

This biographical drama, selected as the Best Film in Thessaloniki, tells the life-story of the folk painter Theophilos Chatzimichail, who was discovered after his death. In his works where he processed traditional Greek motifs, Theofilos told stories from mythology and everyday life. Despite having no formal education, he developed progressive techniques that could compete with contemporary painters, making him one of the most important figures in Modern Greek art.
