While the borders in Europe are crumbling, at the end of the twentieth century, somewhere in Athens, once upon a time in Greece, Sonia, a Russian dancer who left her country in search of a better life bumps and grinds in a striptease joint, while a number of odd characters move around her: an English­ speaking professional hit man, the sadistic, psychotic guy who runs the club and who has the hots for her, a washed-out, eccentric violinist who loses everything at cards and Sonia's Russian boyfriend who is on a tour with the Red Army Choir.
