SYNOPSIS
The film, adapted from Dionysis Haritopoulos's novel of the same name, centers around a journalist and a director who travel to the rural village of Helidona in Greece to produce a television documentary. Investigating the experiences of a family torn apart by political reasons, the duo will uncover fragments of a tragic story that spans from the Civil War to the 1980s.




Costas Vrettakos (1938-2018)
Director, screenwriter, journalist and translator born in Athens. In 1980, his first short movie “Layer of Destruction” won 4 awards at once in Thessaloniki. He directed the documentary “Erehtheio - Syntirisi Akropolis” in 1984. His first fictional feature film “Children Of Helidona” (1987) has received 7 awards in Thessaloniki including the Best Movie award.
