A fleeting love story between an actress struggling to create and an old deserter who rejects every safe place on which to tread.
Andreas and Anna long for the values that have vanished from life today. ln playing the game of love they seek the things they long for. Yet they are victims of the times in which they live and their passion is short-lived. Fear prevails. Andreas revenges himself on Anna because the living proof of her generosity terrifies him. Anna is hurt, benumbed and gives up the fight. Sad and weak in the end they both shy away from the meaning of love. Α mere trifle in the universe, a drop in the ocean, their story is but a moment as indeed is the whole of life itself.
